  Had a cleaning scheduled, followed by a checkup and cavity repair, as I suspected I had at least one. The cleaning was not with Dr. Loiselle, and it went great. Then Dr. Loiselle introduced himself - at first, he comes off as a nice guy - he's really easy to talk to, seems cool. So during the checkup, he seems impatient with me, and somewhat rough. Here's an example, he poked part of my gums, and I exclaimed "ow" and asked him what he did. He replied that he poked one of my gums, and I "exaggerated my reaction". Excuse me? I don't exaggerate - if it hurts, I'll react accordingly. So anyway, ultimately he says I have six cavities, which naturally shocks me... mainly because I brush and floss twice a day. He wants me to pick a side so that he can get three done today. I felt like I was being rushed, and told him I'd rather come back in a day or two. Keep in mind, I thought I had one cavity, max two. He told me to stop procrastinating, and pick a side. I insisted that we re-schedule for another day, as I was a bit shocked at the "diagnosis". He then said if I do that, that's it. He meant I was banned if I did that, even though I did have the cleaning and the checkup. Sure enough, he meant it. When I approached him about it, he explained, in similar words, how this ruined my integrity as a client, and he couldn't count on me anymore. He felt I would do this again. He said if I had been a client for a while, he'd give me a chance... but this wasn't the case. Overall, I'd say Jean P Loiselle is probably a nice guy to know casually - he's very easy to converse with - seems like a really cool guy. Yet, he turned out to be really rough with me on this particular day, specifically with his decision to axe me as a client because I made him lose a few minutes. I should also mention that I went back to my regular, childhood dentist, and he confirmed 6 cavities - so Dr. Loiselle was correct about that; however, my dentist felt only two of them needed to be fixed immediately. My dentist felt the others were so tiny they could just remain that small, so he preferred to wait and see. This meant I'd have to take care of my teeth further, in an effort to keep those cavities at bay. Anyway, the point is this: I'm not saying anything bad about Dr. Loiselle's professional competency. He seems like he knows what he's doing. My dentist simply had a different opinion with regards to those 4 cavities. As for the facilities: they don't have computers or anything, so any insurance claims you want to make have to be done manually via snailmail. Not horrible, just something you might want to know. Also, their x-ray system is the old one where they take you into a room - rather than the new digital one that happens right in the dentist chair. Just FYI.
